Thursday June 4, 2026 vs. Terre Haute (W, 7-4)
Terre Haute gave the Half Trax a scare in the first few innings before the Rex took their first lead of the series in the third inning. A three-run home run in the inning off the scoreboard put the Rex ahead 3-0.
One inning later, the Rex added a run on an infield single with the bases loaded as the lead became 4-0.
The fifth inning swung the momentum to the Half Trax as they got the starter in trouble and ruffled the bullpen. Miguel Nixon walked and swiped second base before Simon Slapeta walked as well. After a sacrifice bunt, Landon Turner scored Nixon with a sacrifice fly to center field. Cody Croxford followed with a RBI single of his own as the lead was cut in half. Dominic Bouscher was hit by a pitch and Jaxon Brown walked to load the bases and force a pitching change. On the fourth pitch from the new Rex reliever, Asa Dunlevey unloaded a grand slam to left field. The Half Trax jumped to a 6-4 lead.
Against another new reliever in the sixth, the Half Trax took advantage of more pitching miscues. Two hit batters and a walk loaded the bases as Brown was hit to bring a run home. Champion City led 7-4 and finished the game on top for the third straight game.
